How an ozone generator works
An ozone generator or ozone machine is a device that converts oxygen into ozone. Ozone generators work by adding energy to oxygen molecules (O2) causing them to break down into oxygen atoms, which causes the oxygen atoms to separate and temporarily recombine with other oxygen molecules to produce ozone (O3). Ozone can be used for water disinfection, air purification, odor elimination, etc.
Once ozone comes into contact with pollutants, bacteria, viruses or molds, it will oxidize and decompose them or destroy their cellular structure. Unreacted ozone breaks down into oxygen over time.
There are three ways for an ozone generator to generate ozone: high-voltage discharge, ultraviolet radiation, and electrolysis.
Our ozone generator adopts high-voltage discharge method, which has the advantages of small size and high ozone concentration.
